Amanda is an accredited ASIST Suicide Trainer, trained by LivingWorks Australia. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a national educational workshop that helps increase participants willingness, confidence, and capacity to provide suicide first aid.
ASIST is a two-day in-person workshop featuring powerful audiovisuals, discussions and simulations. During which, participants will learn how to recognise when someone may be thinking about suicide and to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person experiencing thoughts of suicide to connect them to further support. It will evoke consideration to how personal and community attitudes about suicide affect someone’s openness to seek help and participants ability to provide it.
This training provides two knowledgeable, supportive trainers that will guide participants through the course, ensuring a comfortable and safe learning environment.
ASIST training requires a minimum of 12 participants and costs $500 per person. This cost covers the two trainers for both days, the workshop learning materials for participants and venue hire. A reduced fee may be negotiated for on premise ASIST training.

Amanda is an AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor and can provide either primary or secondary supervision to provisional psychologists who are undergoing their internships. Provisional psychologists are required to undertake supervised training that enables them to develop and demonstrate eight core competency areas, required for general psychology registration. Innerflow offers supervision to those newly starting their internships to assist with their consolidation of skills and knowledge acquired during their study and apply these in practice.
Innerflow also offers supervision to positive behaviour support practitioners. Whilst Amanda is stepping away from the intervention work within this space, she still feels passionately about the work and supporting the spirit of positive behaviour support.
